He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and spent his childhood years in Altoona, Pennsylvania, with much of his adult life spent traveling for work before ultimately settling in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he built a life filled with hard work, travel, laughter, and family. Randy spent much of his life working on RVs, a passion that eventually became his business, RV Fixer. He was deeply proud of his certifications and loved sharing that he was a Master Certified RV Technician, a title he earned through years of hard work and dedication.
Randy had a way of making people feel seen and important. He was known for his quick wit, perfectly timed jokes, and his ability to bring lightness even during difficult moments. He always answered the phone with an upbeat voice, ready to listen, talk, or help in any way he could. Time spent talking with Randy was often filled with laughter, warmth, and meaningful connection.
He loved home cooked Italian food, cooking a big Thanksgiving meal, and working on projects—especially anything involving tools, technology, fixing computers, or figuring out how things worked. He found great joy in problem-solving. He also loved traveling in an RV, for both work and leisure, and cherished the freedom it gave him.
Above all else, Randy loved his family. He loved being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his pride in his children and grandchildren was endless. He is survived by his children, Raymond (Randy) Gene Sciarrillo, Franklin Sciarrillo, Kimberly Sciarrillo, Joanne Sciarrillo, Alexis Sciarrillo, and Andrew Sciarrillo; his grandchildren, Dylan Lucas, Vivian Sciarrillo, Sophia Sciarrillo, Brittany Sciarrillo, Riley Sepe, Vincent Sepe, Christopher Raymond Sepe, and Donnie Sciarrillo; great grandchildren, Leo Lucas, Liam and Hazel Sciarrillo; and his siblings, Paul Helsel, Mary Fochler (nee Helsel), and Jeannie Helsel Britton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Helsel (nee Sciarrillo) and his brothers, Frank Helsel and David Helsel.
Randy’s kindness, humor, and loving spirit will remain with us always. His laughter, his stories, and the way he made each of us feel will live on in our hearts forever.
