Rich was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 29, 1939. Rich joined the Air National Guard while he was still in high school in his senior year. He entered the United States Air Force in 1957 and was stationed at McGuire AFB, New Hanover, NJ; Bergstrom AFB, Austin, TX; Kadena AFB, Okinawa; and Scott AFB, St. Clair County, Illinois. He received a Good Conduct Medal and Air Force Longevity Service Award. He is predeceased by Janet, his beloved wife of 25 years and survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Bernice and Gregory McAllister. Rich will always be remembered for his bright personality, amazing sense of humor, intelligence and generosity. He had a special relationship with his daughter and son-in-law and will be deeply missed. A private graveside service was held at King David Memorial Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations in Rich’s memory be made to the charity of your choice. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
