Robert (Bob) Charles Singer was born on May 20, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to Eugene and Marie Singer. He left his earthly home on January 14, 2026 to be with his Lord and Savior.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Teresa; siblings Sharon Bradley (Mike), Ron (Tim), nephews Jason and Christopher, a niece Samantha and their families. Four “furry” companions welcomed Bob to heaven; a German shepherd, three yellow labs; and after Bob’s passing Lucy, the fourth yellow lab followed him. On April 4th, his Mother Marie Singer also joined him heaven.
Bob accepted Jesus as his personal savior in 1985, and Praise the Lord he is with Jesus now. He was a dedicated member and Deacon of Shadow Hills Baptist Church where he shared his beautiful tenor voice; he sang in the choir and often sang special music with a quartet. He was a Deacon, leading many to know Jesus, he taught youth and adult Bible Study classes, and if ever a friend or church member was in need or in the hospital he was there for support and prayer.
Growing up Bob’s passion was sports, junior league baseball, high school and collegiate soccer at UNLV as the goal keeper. Then he made the leap to become a Soccer Official. He ultimately became a National Class 1 referee in 1985. In 1989 he had a health issue and underwent surgery in November. The following year, with the strength and healing of the Lord, Bob was able to pass the recertification testing as a National Soccer Referee. Bob was also presented with the William Scofield Memorial Award by the U.S. Soccer Federation. This award is presented to referee that has the following characteristics; Thorough dedication to the art and profession of refereeing, Courage and the will to recover from a major physical setback and Unparalleled treatment of fellow officials with respect and friendship.
Bob graduated from Valley High School in 1972 and then earned a BSBA from UNLV. Bob was an accountant by trade; an accomplished National Soccer Official; held various positions in the soccer community SNOA, NISOA, as well as, the local community including the NW Citizens Advisory Board, Special Olympics. Bob was also a passionate Chicago Cubs fan as well!
His last years here were limited by his health, we know that he is now in the Promised Land and all earthly limitations have been relieved.
