Roberto Reyes Caparas

Roberto Reyes Caparas died peacefully surrounded by family in Las Vegas, NV on June 8, 2017 at the age of 81. Robert was born on May 13, 1936 in the Philippines to Petronilo Caparas, Sr. and Socorro Caparas. He is preceded in death by three of his siblings; Nene Dizon, Osario Sevilla and Mercedes Arevalo. He is survived by five other siblings: Rosenda Caparas, Reynaldo Caparas, Petronilo Caparas Jr, Remedios Paa and Lourdes Carreon. Robert is survived by his loving wife Emerita, his children; Elizabeth Caparas-Delgado, Carol Caparas-Mallillin, Victoria Caparas-Mascardo, his step-children; Noel Lozada, Cecilia Hernandez, Joseph Lozada and Michael Lozada. He is preceded in death by his son Roberto Caparas, Jr. Robert was blessed with many grand and great grandchildren. He was a kind man with a happy demeanor and always enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. His devout Catholic faith brought him to St. Francis of Assisi Church, where he served the Lord. Robert was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. He will be dearly missed by friends and loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is now at peace with our Creator. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at 10:30am, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson, NV. Interment will be on Saturday, June 24, 1:30pm at the Gates of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, at 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos, CA
