

Roger Edward Hall, 96, of Henderson, Nevada passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016. He was born in Strafford, Iowa on August 26, 1920, to Martin and Esther Hall. Roger served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from March of 1942 to December of 1945. After his military service, he finished his education at Cal-Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. He was a longtime resident of Las Vegas and Henderson for more than 60 years. As the owner of Desert Air by Hall, his occupation was that of Architectural and Mechanical Engineering. His love for drafting made him a sought-after draftsman to which he had a part of the engineering to many hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. He was well known in Southern Nevada as an Olympian as he was very involved in Senior Olympics; a recipient of over 50 Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Whenever there was an event involving one of his grandchildren, Roger was there. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Sherry; and son Curtis. He is survived by his beloved wife, Billie; sons Eddie, Danny, Terry, Rodney and Douglas; grandchildren Jennifer, Lenore, Tyler, Joshua, Rodney Jr., Cory, Aaron, Jordon, Dustin, Keara, Savannah, Haleigh, Kayla, Tifani; and numerous great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all.
