Seiko Woo

Seiko Nishijima Woo passed away on May 23, 2026 at the age of 89. Seiko was born on January 25, 1937 in Kanagawa, Japan. She lived with her husband William (Willie) and raised 3 daughters in Los Angeles, California. Seiko worked most of her career as a Senior Auditor for Blue Cross Insurance Company. At retirement, Seiko and her husband decided to move and reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Seiko was athletic and enjoyed bowling with her league at work and playing golf with her husband. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching basketball, football, baseball and golf on TV.

Seiko was preceded in death by her husband of almost 40 years, William Woo, and then her close partner, Michael Bandura who had come into Seiko’s life later in her years. She is survived by her daughters; Carol (David), Arlene and Barbara (Steven); her grandchildren Yuko, Sachiko, Michael and Katie, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and close friends.

Seiko will be remembered as a strong, generous and resilient woman who endured many challenges throughout her life with dignity and grace.

We wish to honor Seiko’s memory in a simple and private manner. She will be cremated as per her wishes.a.
