Simon Timothy Manson

Simon Timothy Manson, 21, was tragically killed on Friday, August 11, 2023, when another driver struck his vehicle. Simon is survived by his parents, Scott & Kim Manson, sister Shelby (Sam) Malone, nieces Sydney & Sadie Malone, grandparents, Diane & John Guerin & Sue & Mac Reeves, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his first and forever love, Ellie Stevens. Thank you Ellie, for bringing out yet another beautiful side of Simon.

Simon was born in the Detroit metro area and although he spent most of his life in Las Vegas, he was a Midwest guy thru and thru. He regularly wore hats and t-shirts representing “The D” and the Mitten State and stayed true to the Redwings while living in the heart of VGK country. Simon was working towards his journeymen’s card with the SW United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners Local 1977 and had a brilliant future ahead of him.

He loved his family, his “boys”, the outdoors, animals, music, Legos, video games, learning and hanging out with a blanket in his pajamas. Simon was a wickedly smart human with a quick wit and playful demeanor. His smile and bright blue eyes radiated his kind-hearted nature and he made people around him feel seen and loved. Simon was the gentlest soul who felt deeply, laughed easy and loved fiercely. All who knew him, and those who loved him most, will miss him desperately but will forever be grateful for the time spent with him, albeit far too short.

A visitation for Simon will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 5-7pm at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113, followed by a funeral service beginning at 7pm.
