

Stanley Fredrick Hay was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Stanley will be remembered as a very exceptional person. He was the son of Jim and Dorothy Hay. He was born in Augathella, Queensland and grew up in Australia. Stanley was raised with five brothers and two sisters: Neville, Micky, Dingie, Dougie, Goldie, Ruva, and Gloria. Stanley was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years. On July 21, 1955 Stanley exchanged wedding vows with Dian Mary Lund at the Justice of the Peace in Baltimore, Maryland. Stanley worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Stanley was blessed with six children, Zynda, Captain Fredrick, Captain Stanley, Douglas, Frankie, and Rynee. Another blessing for Stanley was the gift of eight grandchildren, Artemia, Michael, Madisyn, Coleman, Kyle, Sydney, Spencer, and Pasiley. Fortunately, Stanley enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Stanley worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was entertaining and being a chef. He entertained and performed all over through the United States and Europe. Stanley always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done. Stanley was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. Some of his favorites were Tiddles and Dinkie, two ponies, and Foxy, his dog. When Stanley’s retirement finally arrived in 1983, he was well prepared. His new life involved relocating from California to Las Vegas. Even in retirement, Stanley continued to stay in touch with his old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Stanley was active in his new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered him. He is survived by his children Zynda, Cappy, Dougie, Frankie and Rynee; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his dog Foxy. Services were held at Palm Eastern Mortuary. Stanley was laid to rest in Palm Eastern Cemetery. Simply stated, Stanley was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Stanley leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Stanley Fredrick Hay.
