

Steven Craig Amerine, 75, of Las Vegas, passed away November 29, 2024 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. He was surrounded by his loved ones. He was born July 14, 1949 in Muscatine, Iowa to Harry and Violet Amerine. He graduated from Wilton High School and continued his education at the community college. He then joined the USAF and served in Vietnam. He also served in Thailand and Italy. He continued his military career for 22 years until 1990 when he retired. He then began working in the gaming industry for Jerry Herbst at Terrible’s Oil Co. He worked there until the day of his 65th birthday, when he retired. He married the love of his life, Doris, on February 16, 1974. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
He is survived by his Brother Larry (Kathleen) Amerine of Davenport, Iowa, wife Doris, daughter Joanna Walers, sons Richard Amerine (Melody) & Joseph Young.
Three grandchildren: Alexander Edward Amerine, Taylor Nicole Amerine and Savannah Rose Walers.
His furbabies Zac & Zoe.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Violet, His infant son Shawn Matthew, his brothers Keith and Jerry Amerine.
He has many nieces and nephews that will miss him deeply and especially his “wing man” Rick Picard of MA, who served with him in Vietnam..
His wishes were to be cremated and no funeral. The family will be having a private celebration/service.
