Susie Calderon Diaz

Jesusita "Susie" C. Diaz, 90, of Henderson, passed away peacefully Sept. 4, 2016. Susie was born Aug. 28, 1926, to Luis Z. Calderon and Beatriz Mosqueda Calderon, in Austin, Texas, where she lived until marrying Marcelo A. Diaz Dec. 27, 1953.

She was a devoted Air Force wife, living in several states and countries until their retirement in 1976 in Lancaster, Calif., eventually moving to Henderson, where she lived for the past 13 years.

Susie was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; brothers, Ralph Calderon, Cisco Calderon, Lupe Calderon and Henry Calderon; and sisters, Nora Casarez, Dolores Rodriguez, Virgie Lopez and Anna Sustiata.

Susie is survived by her daughters, Margo (Terry) Wiblitzhouser of Mercer Island, Wash., Brenda (Richard) May of Palmdale, Calif., Marcella (Robert) Le Van of Henderson, and Teresa (Stan) Masters of Henderson; grandchildren, Nicholas May, Victoria May, Cole Masters, Alyssa Wiblitzhouser, Tye Masters, Deanna Wiblitzhouser, Drew Masters, Mara Le Van, Audra Le Van and Chantz Masters; great-granddaughter, Adaline May; brothers, Luis Calderon Jr., Mike Calderon; and sisters, Mary Huerta, Hattie Saldana and Beatriz C. Garcia.

Susie will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
