Sylvia Gamboa dela Cruz, 67, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on January 20, 2015 at Spring Valley Hospital. She was born on April 18, 1947 in Malabon City, Philippines to Anselmo and Marcelina Gamboa. Found the love of her life at the age of 22 when she married Cristino dela Cruz. Sylvia received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the Philippine Normal College in 1968. She later taught 1st grade students at Tugatog Elementary School and enjoyed every minute. She loved spending quality time with her family, and was a very good cook. She loved good food and traveling. Sylvia is survived by her husband Cristino; children Aldwin, Edelyn and Corwin; and several grandchildren, all of whom live in Las Vegas. They all brought her great joy and pride, and kept her going for many years. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 12:00 – 6:00pm at King David, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, Nevada.
