Tamara Petersen Squires

Tamara P. Squires passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, in Las Vegas, at the age of 81. She was born on February 25, 1945, in Salt Lake City.

Tammy devoted her life to education, serving as both an educator and administrator with dedication, compassion, and integrity throughout her career. She was respected by colleagues, students, and friends for her commitment to helping others learn and grow.

Above all else, Tamara cherished her family. She is lovingly remembered by her son, David Squires (Karen Squires); her daughter, Michelle Squires; and her four grandchildren, Whitney Squires, Joshua Squires (Marie Parant Squires), William Squires, and Ryan Squires.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Squires, her daughter, DD (Tami Dyan Squires), and her wonderful pets, Mitzi, Bingo, Duke, Bob, Sasa and Bell.

Tammy found great joy in spending time with her family and treasured her visits to Zion National Park, a place she loved for its beauty and peace.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
