Teresa Elizabeth Williams passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 1st 2020 after a courageous fight with multiple cancers.

Teresa was born in London, England in 1949 to Morris and Alma Goldstone. The first of their children outside of New Zealand. Very few people are born with the sense of adventure and infectious spirit that was her trademark which was obvious to everyone who knew her. She often spoke of her childhood experiences in post-war England, hitchhiking around Europe at the age of 18 and later working on a kibbutz in Israel.

After settling back in England, Teresa met her soul mate, Ian, in 1969 and they married in 1972. Upon the birth of her first daughter Michela in 1975 she decided to give up her career to be a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker. Her second daughter, Alexi, was born in 1977. Together this tight and loving family moved around England, then off to Switzerland and finally to the United States as Ian’s talents were sought worldwide. Through all the moves and adventures - new lands, cultures, customs and languages -Teresa was the glue that held the family together. Her love of skiing, paragliding, zip lining, snorkeling, sand boarding, white water rafting and everything else on the edge kept her family fully awake.

When Ian retired in 2003 the two of them dedicated themselves to traveling the world and experiencing all that life had to offer. Her love of foods and cultures led them to every continent and reduced her bucket list to a very small list. Her remaining ambition was to visit New Zealand which was the birth place of her mother and elder siblings.

Their adventures slowed considerably after the birth of their first grandchild, Caitlin, in 2006 and again after the birth of their second grandchild, Dylan, in 2008. Such was Teresa’s heart that she would forgo her own adventures to spend time with the family that she loved. Though her travel was curtailed she still displayed her adventurous side by getting her first (and second) tattoo and never saying no to a good water park slide with her grandkids.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father and elder sister’s Claire and Marilyn. She will be waiting “on the other side” for Ian, daughters Michela and Alexi, sister Debra, brother Michael, mother Alma, and grandchildren Caitlin and Dylan.

Talk about a "Life Well-lived". Every description and recollection you've entered here about Terri expands on what I already knew of her, only more so. What a wonderful woman, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and daughter she was. So many great memories have been etched into your hearts that you can relive over and over. With so many beautiful pictures to remind you of her, you will be able to visit her smiles as she enjoyed yours. She'll be watching over you all as she always has, and you will continue to feel her love.

Our hearts ache a mere fraction of what yours must do, at not being able to speak to her, touch her, or hear her infectious laugh.

She has left an impression on your lives that will never be equaled.

A woman who loved life to the full. Gone far too early but has left stupendous memories.
