He was born on April 29th, 1944 in The Bronx, New York to Roslyn and Daniel Hirsch. He grew up with 3 siblings, Larry (deceased), Candy and Howard. Ted was married to his “darling,” Brenda Hirsch. They were fortunate to share 57 loving years together.
Ted attended Evander Childs High School in The Bronx. The family relocated to Los Angeles, in April 1959. Ted completed his education at Fairfax High School. He completed two years of college and then had a calling to the business world. Ted started his career working for his Father Daniel selling imported goods.Ted was a born salesman, and he embarked on various successful business opportunities throughout his life.
Ted loved to network and meet people through many business organizations that he was a member of. One of his greatest hobbies included watching and investing in the stock market.
His main interests were Sports, playing Softball and collecting Sports memorabilia. Ted was the ultimate fan supporting his favorite teams, the 49ers and Yankees. Another great interest of Ted’s, was Fishing, especially deep sea fishing. His famous moment was catching a 350 pound Marlin in Cabo San Lucas.
He was a very devoted family man and loved all the people that were in his life. He treasured countless longtime relationships with many friends. Ted was very instrumental in guiding people to achieve their professional goals. For many years he was part of a weekly Breakfast Club, that he always looked forward to.
Ted was known as “Mr Clean,” especially in the care and maintenance of his cars and his personal collections. He loved to fix things, his childhood nickname was “ The Fixer,” which carried throughout his life.
Ted is survived by his wife Brenda; daughter Nori Patrick ( Scott), son Jeff Hirsch ( Michelle), and daughter Marnie Black ( Michael). His grandchildren, Elliot and Evan Patrick, Haylee Hirsch, Dalton and Frankie Black, gave him great joy. He leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews and a wide circle of extended family who will miss him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to MDS Foundation, GBS/CIDP Foundation International or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 4th 2026 at 1 :00 PM at Palm King David Memorial Chapel followed by Burial services held at 2: 00 PM at Palm Eastern Cemetery.
