Virgilio was born in Marawi, Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines on April 19, 1945. He studied in Camiling Colleges and graduated high school in 1960. He later receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture at FEATI University in Manila, Philippines. Virgilio migrated to the United States in September 26, 1974 joining his family in Kodiak, Alaska. He worked at Alaska Pacific Seafoods, Rolland Jones Consulting Engineers and the city engineering Kodiak, Alaska. Virgilio relocated with his wife Lolita and two children Mary Joy and Ryan to Anchorage, Alaska in 1980 where he worked for CH2MHill Engineering as a structural engineer for fifteen years.
After twenty-one years living in Anchorage, Virgilio and Lolita along with their granddaughter Alyssa resided to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2000, where he was more able to reunite with family, relatives, long-time friends, and classmates from high school and college from the Philippines. He continued to work throughout the decade, again for CH2MHill, then for Stanley Consultants Engineering Company as a Senior Designer. Virgilio later retired before 2010 where he spent time with his grandchildren, gardening and entertaining family, relatives and friends that would visit him at his home. After his retirement, he worked for H&R Block during tax season where he did tax preparation. Through the years, Virgilio would travel to various places. Returning home to the Philippines numerous times for vacation to visit with family and friends. Traveling for work being assigned in different cities like Seattle, Washington, San Jose, California, Salt Lake City, Utah, Washington, D.C., just to name a few and vacationing with his family to San Diego, California, Disneyland and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Virgilio had fallen ill on September of 2021. He then passed away on the evening of October 20, 2021. He is survived by his wife Lolita; his daughter Mary Joy David-Peredo (Perry); his son Ryan David (Nikki); and his grandchildren Alyssa, Jhanessa, Jaiden-Nicholas, Neyo, Myles Rocky, Maximus Symon and Maddox Rylee.
Virgilio was beloved by many and lived his "Elusive Dreams". We will forever be grateful to have shared so many amazing memories with him and will continue to make "Our Dad" proud.
