Virginia Luna Hines

Virginia (Luna) Hines, 98, passed away in Las Vegas on March 27, 2026. She was born and grew up in Southeastern Oklahoma. She married Donald Hines in 1947. They were married for sixty-four years until his passing. They raised four children. Virginia was a dedicated, supportive Air Force wife and mother. The family settled in Las Vegas where she worked as a teachers’ aide for the Clark County School District for twenty-three years. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile. She was a longtime member of Green Valley Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and loved her church family! She is survived by daughters, Lisa and Gina; daughter-in-law, Mary; three grandchildren and their spouses; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; son, Steve; and her daughter, Sherry. She will be remembered as a very loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandma, GG, and friend.

A celebration of life for Virginia will be held on April 24 at 11:00 am at Green Valley Baptist Church, 270 N. Valle Verde Dr., Henderson, NV 89074. Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be directed to Green Valley Baptist Church in memory of Virginia Hines.
