

Wesley Westmoreland III, died peacefully on December 12th, 2021. He was born to Wesley Westmoreland II and Lucille Tate in Alabama. Wes spent most of his childhood in Dallas, Texas where he attended Highland Park High School and SMU as a part of the ROTC program.
Passionate about flying in his youth, Wes went on to become a pilot for American Airlines where he remained a long-time employee retiring as a Captain. A Vietnam Veteran, Wes served his country as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force as a pilot.
Wes married Sally Schram in 1954. They began their family in Texas and later moved to Huntington Beach, California where they raised two children, Dyan Westmoreland Miller and Wesley Westmoreland IV.
Wes married Judy Coe Westmoreland. They enjoyed a long and happy marriage as active members of the Henderson community where they resided. Judy pursued her passion for competitive dog shows, Wes spent his retirement years boating, off roading and he was an avid car collector.
Wes is survived by his son Wesley Westmoreland IV, a grandson, Justin Miller and 4 great grandchildren and his sister-in-law Sandy Coe. In loving memory of his daughter Dyan and his wife Judy who proceeded him in death. He truly adored them both.
Services will be held January 6th at 10:00 AM at Palm Mortuary, Eastern located at 7600 South Eastern Ave, Las Vegas NV. In lieu of flowers you may choose to make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project Organization or the Vietnam Veterans of America.
