William Robert Currie

William Robert Currie of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at the great age of 94, on March 8, 2018. He was born on May 25, 1923 in Fort William, Ontario, Canada, to Richard and Ruth Currie. He served in WWII in the Lake Superior Regiment in Canada. He retired as a custodian for the Long Beach Press Telegram newspaper. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Wilma Currie. He is survived by two daughters Gerda (Phil) Young and Ruth (James) Bellofatto; beloved grandchildren Sean (Sheri) Young, Michele (Chris) Trantham, Cassandra (Larry) Littau, Kimberly (Todd) Starr, Kelly (Jason) DeVito, and Christopher Bellofatto; and great-grandchildren: Willow, Esme, and Malcolm Young; Kirstyn, Kaitlyn, and Kaylee Littau; Alexa Starr; and Logan and Brooklyn DeVito. Services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Avenue.
