

William Yar Parke was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, William will be remembered as a very exceptional person. William was born on October 28, 1989 in Yangon, Myanmar. He was the son of U Hla Kyi (U Waziyanyar Na) and Daw Soe Soe Aye (Grace Aye). He was raised with one sibling, brother Phyo Thet Khine (Johnny Parke). He attended elementary school at State High School No.1 Dagon Yangon and middle school at both the International Language & Business Centre (ILBC) and St. John’s, Guam. A typical teenager, William had a happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2009. William enjoyed his college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but William was able to manage the balancing act. He was in his senior year at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) majoring in Biology. He was proficient in both English and Burmese. Fortunately, William enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, William worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was as real estate professional. He was employed for Key Realty in Las Vegas. However, his ambition was to go to Medical School after college. William had many outside activities to name just a few: he was a Chaiya Meditation Monastery (CMM) volunteer; he was a USA Boxing member; and was into his health and fitness.
He is survived by his father U Hla Kyi; mother Grace Aye; uncle Albert Parke; aunt Tint Tint Parke/May May Tint; and brother Johnny Parke. Simply stated, William was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. William leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember William Yar Parke.
