Zenaida "Dee" Mendoza was born on June 7th in Manila, Philippines. She was the eldest of nine children and daughter of Jose and Sagraria Limson. Her siblings viewed her as a mother hen, often relying on her for advice and help. She was a wonderful cook. She graduated from Philippines Women's University with a degree as a Nutritionist Dietitian. Upon graduating she opened a successful meat supply business. In 1965, she moved to New York, where she worked on Wall Street. In 1969, on a flight going to Manila, she met the love of her life, Sonny Mendoza. They would later have a son, Ace. In 1992, she relocated to Las Vegas, where she briefly worked at Caesar's Palace and then she became a homemaker. She loved being around family and friends and would throw parties and cook for everyone. She had a knack for making friends and touched many people's lives with her kindness and generosity.
Dee will be dearly missed and was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend.
