Mr. Albert (Shorty) Spears, age 84 of Summertown died August 28, 2011 at Maury Regional Hospital. He was a native of Lewis County, retired from Stauffer Chemical Corp., farmer and member of the Church of God.
He is survived by two sons, Tommy and Gary Spears both of Summertown, TN; five grandchildren; two brothers, Alvin Spears and Willis Spears both of Summertown, TN; two sisters, Margaret Stephens and Vernie Spears both of Lewis County, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife Dura Faye Spears, his parents, Paul and Minnie Poag Spears.
Funeral Service will be held at Whispering Hills Church of God, Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 3 pm with Marvin Potts officiating and interment in Hinestown, Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 4:30 ~ 8 pm at Whispering Hills Church of God.
