She is survived by one son, Leonard E. Newton, two daughters, Deborah G. Garland, Katlynn B. Newton; two brothers; Rex A. Alexander, Ricky Alexander, and two sisters, Barbara Freytag, Sheila Alexander, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Polk.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 5-8 pm with a Memorial Service to be held at 7 pm.
