She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Edgar Duncan, Jr.,parents M. B. Speights and Jennie Elizabeth Wickson, siblings Patsy Speights, Rita Speights Compton, Curtis Speights, Charlotte Speights Martin, Carrie Speights Gibson and great grandchildren Viviane Hope Duncan and David Henry Wayne Duncan.
She is survived by children Kristin Duncan Rhodes (Kerry), Richard Edgar Duncan III(Donna), grandchildren Elizabeth Donaly Rhodes, Richard Edgar Duncan IV, Ethan Duncan Rhodes, Ryan Erwin Duncan, Roy Evan Duncan and great grandchildren Richard Edgar Duncan V andGrady Emmett Duncan, sibling Callan Speights, Douglass Speights,Sammy Speights, Phylis Speights Blackwood, Debbie Speights Sims,and brothers-in-law Hiram Duncan (Glenda) and Danny Gibson anda host of nieces and nephews.
Barbara Lucille Speights Duncan graduated from Denver City high school. Following that she moved and worked in Craig, Colorado then Dallas, Texas. While working at National Cash Register in Dallas she met Richard Edgar Duncan, Jr, the love of her life, at the Skillman Avenue church of Christ.
She lived a life of service to God,always putting the lives and needs of her family, the church and neighbors above her own.
