

Born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 9, 1946. Billie was the oldest of five children. In 1980, Billie moved to Austin with her husband Larry and son Brett. One year later, she became a mother for the second time with the adoption of her daughter, Jill. In 2004, she retired after working 35 years in the telecommunication industry.
Billie married Larry on July 1, 1978. Their love story spanned an incredible 46 years, filled with a deep and overwhelming sense of love and joy. Their connection was marked by unforgettable adventures and shared laughter, creating a bond between them that could never be broken. Their companionship was the very definition of true love that stood the test of time and grew stronger with each passing day. Billie and Larry's love story was a masterpiece, a beautiful and enduring testament to the power of love and the beauty of a lifelong partnership. They were soulmates in every sense of the word.
As a mother, Billie dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her children, Brett and Jill, instilling in them the importance of kindness, tenacity, and faith. Her unwavering love and support guided them through life's ups and downs, shaping them into the individuals they are today. The daily phone calls with Brett's "Toots" and Jill's "Best Friend" were not just routine check-ins, but moments of comfort, sometimes straightforward, often comical but always filled with endless encouragement. Billie's love knew no bounds, and her children felt it deeply in their hearts every single day. Billie loved her daughter-in-law, Lynn, and son-in-law, Colin, as if they were her own children. Her bond with each of them was truly unique and special.
Billie put her faith in God, and as a follower of Jesus Christ, she poured her heart into her church, Cedar Pointe Baptist Church. Her commitment was steadfast, as she lovingly opened her home to host small group Bible studies that touched the lives of many. Billie's dedication shone brightly as she selflessly volunteered at countless church events, spreading the light of her faith wherever she went. Her belief in God was not just a part of her life - it was the very foundation upon which she built her existence.
Billie's heart overflowed with joy whenever she took on the role of "Piggie". It was not just a title, but a cherished identity. Every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren was a precious gift that she treasured above all else. From baking cookies to embarking on exciting adventures, Piggie created unforgettable memories for her grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary of love, filled with laughter, warmth, and endless "Piggie" traditions that brought the family together in ways that words could never capture. The connection she shared with her five grandchildren was nothing short of magical. Each one held a special place in her heart.The joy in her eyes, the laughter in her voice, and the love in her actions spoke volumes about the depth of her affection for them.
Billie is survived by her husband, Larry; her children, Brett Kuykendall (Lynn) of New Braunfels and Andea Jill Scott (Colin) of Atascocita; her grandchildren, Lee Bradley (Brooke), Ashley and Caden Kuykendall, Jacob and Reagan Scott, and two great grandchildren John Brett and Bethanie Bradley. Billie is survived by her siblings Edward Clark (Emily) of Plainview, Jeff Clark of San Antonio and Jan Hoppe of San Antonio along with her nieces and nephews, loved by their Aunt Kay. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Cleora and Edward Clark, brother Jim Clark and brother in law Steve Hoppe.
Brett, Jill, and Larry are overwhelmed with gratitude and love for Billie's best friend, Debbie Luzzo. Their bond has proven to be unbreakable, spanning over four decades of memories and shared experiences. They have a profound connection that goes beyond mere friendship. Through life's triumphs and trials, they stood united, facing the storms of life hand in hand. They are forever grateful for Debbie's presence and unwavering support through the end.
Billie will always be remembered for her strong faith, contagious laughter, and her devotion to family and friends. She will truly be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A celebration of Billie’s life will be held on July 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at High Pointe Baptist Church, 12030 Dessau Rd, Austin, TX 78754 with a reception to follow.
