Bryan Kenneth Burgess, also known as Buddy/Flash, hopped on his final ride on July 8, 2023, at the age of 65 in Leander, Texas. Born on September 4, 1957, in Galveston, Texas, Buddy lived a life that was a wild and thrilling adventure.
Buddy was a rebel without a cause, revving up his Harley and embracing the freedom of the open road. His love for his motorcycle was no joke - he'd zoom past you with a mischievous grin, leaving nothing but awe in his wake. He truly knew how to live life in the fast lane. He showed that cats aren't the only ones with nine lives.
When it came to his education, Buddy was a student of the School of Hard Knocks. He faced challenges head-on, proving time and time again that he could handle whatever life threw his way. He was a true master of resilience and a survivor of epic proportions.
Buddy leaves behind a trail of unforgettable memories and a crew of loved ones who will forever cherish his spirit. He is survived by his sister Robin(Rodney) Burgess Lindsay-Covington, his brother Shawn(Karan) Burgess, and sisters Kelly(Valentine) Burgess Gomez and Tara(Allen) Burgess Patton. Bryan's nieces and nephews Dawn Marshall, Brenner Burgess, Kab(Marisa) Burgess, Steven Burgess, Marie(Quentin) Burgess, Megan(Joseph) Gomez Brymer, Dusty(Samantha) Patton, Ryan Patton, and Emily(Cota) Patton Wilburn, were lucky to have him as their fearless uncle. And let's not forget the countless cousins, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces who were in awe of his adventurous soul.
Buddy now joins his parents, John Kenneth Burgess and Marion Janet Burgess, in the great beyond as well as his beloved Kahuna(s). But fear not, for his spirit will forever ride on in our hearts and memories.
As we celebrate Buddy's life, let's remember the laughter he brought us and the joy he spread. May his wild spirit inspire us to embrace life's twists and turns with a grin and a wink. Bryan Kenneth Burgess, the ultimate road warrior, will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
And as Buddy himself once said, "I'm being cremated and my ashes are being scattered (somewhere). So instead of going to see the great creator, I will be going to see the great cremator." Ride on, Buddy, ride on.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.wcfishleander.com for the Burgess family.
