Burton “Jack” Wolfe Fitzsimmons Jr. passed away peacefully, at his son’s home in Leander, Tx., on September 29, 2021. Born July 14, 1932, at the age of 89, Burton Jr. was preceded by his loving mother, Mary Louise “Dews” Fitzsimmons and father Burton Wolfe Fitzsimmons Sr., all of Forrest City, Arkansas.
“Jack” as Burton Jr. was known by to all, was a longtime resident of Beaumont, Tx., Jack devoted his life to faith, family, and friends. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army, who worked and retired after 40 years of service, for Mobil Oil in Beaumont, Tx.
He is survived by a stepson, Douglas Wayne Broussard and wife Suzette Broussard, also residents of Beaumont, Tx. Burton Jr.’s son, Michael Wolfe Fitzsimmons and his wife Tina Fitzsimmons, of Leander, Tx., where Burton Jr. lived and was cared for, over the past several years. Also, fifteen grandchildren and great grandchildren, who loved and will miss dearly,their “Papa Jack”! Countless friends young and old, who called Burton Jr. “Pop” in the Beaumont area will miss him dearly as well.
Visitation and services, will be held Friday the 8th of October 2021, from 3 to 5pm at the Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home in Leander, Tx. A special thanks, to all the caring staff for Hospice of Austin!
