Faye Davis age 94, born to Charles Dempsey Carter and Annis Carter in Round Rock, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2021. She was the second of four children; Ella Louise, Emma Bell, & Baby Boy Carter.
Faye was raised in a Christian home with strong faith which she passed on and instilled in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Faye grew up on the family farm and was her daddy’s right hand. She often would tell stories of how she picked cotton and went to town with him to trade their crops for goods they needed at home.
Faye was always the one sister that would spend as much of her spare time with her horse which she broke and was very proud of.
Faye attended Pond Springs School into her High School years. Her interest in wanting to become a beautician at 17 years old led her to go to Austin Beauty College in Austin, TX.
Faye Carter met the love of her life, Billy Archie Davis whom she married on July 2, 1953 at the Jollyville Church of Christ. They were blessed to have been married almost 66 years.
During those 65+ years of marriage Billy and Faye traveled the United States with the Shell Oil crew, moving a total of 18 times within 16 years!! Along the way their first child, Michael Allen was born. Four short years later their little girl, Deborah Annis made their family complete. In 1971 Billy brought his family back home to Jollyville to be closer to their extended family.
Faye wore many hats in her lifetime. She was a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a beautician, a business owner and even a mechanic at one point. She put one of her many God given talents to work and opened and ran two different ceramic shops in Leander, TX.
After many years of work, Faye decided to retire and go back to homemaking so that she could enjoy the grandchildren. She looked forward to all the family get togethers and was the life of all the holidays, birthday parties, baseball games and rodeos.
Faye was welcomed in Heaven by her loving husband Billy, her son Michael, her mother and daddy and her siblings.
The amazing legacy that Faye has left behind is evident in those that survived her.
Faye is survived by her daughter Debbie & husband Greg Mondello. Daughter in law June Davis. Her grandchildren Jessica & husband Josh Dickinson, Paul & wife Bethany Davis, Jannice Hyden, Stacy & husband Quinn Kelsaw, Josh & wife Michelle Futrell. She was blessed with 13 great grandchildren Dylan, Hunter, Arika, Sarah, Travis, Logan, Marcus, Aaliyah, Levi Desmond, Ashley, Lane and Kinsley. All of who lovingly called her Memaw.
