It is with much love and sadness that we share that Karen Eileen Narup passed away on November 27, 2025, in Cedar Park, Texas. Karen was 78 years old and was born in Wichita, Kansas on January 4, 1947.
Karen lived a full life which included time living in numerous states across the country. Her professional career took her to California where she worked at Syntex. Next she moved to Texas where she was employed by Tivoli. She ended her professional career in Arkansas as an event planner for the City of Little Rock.
In her personal time Karen had a passion for crafting and all things creative! She had an impressive collection of handmade wreaths and decorations that she loved using to keep her home festive for every holiday. Karen also loved attending Red Hatter events with her friends. However, there was probably nothing Karen enjoyed more than coordinating visits and reunions with her family both near and far. These relationships were held very dear to Karen throughout her life.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Mary Katherine (Griffee) Narup and Clendon Earl Narup. She was also preceded in death by her older sisters Gin Pirolo, Pat Milner, Sue Hoschouer, and Toni Gomolak. Karen is survived by the true light of her life, her son, Arthur Narup of Texas. She also leaves behind her daughter in law Ashley Narup, granddaughter Kayla Narup, and grandson Blake Narup all of Texas. Karen also has one younger sister, Sarah Ellery of Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews who she is survived by.
Throughout her last months of life Karen was in residence at The Auberge in Cedar Park, Texas. We are beyond grateful for the kindness, care, and compassion that they as well as the hospice team showed to Karen.
