It was in high school that Lee Ann met the love of her life, Glenn Elmer Smith. Their relationship grew into a lifelong love story, and together they built a beautiful life and family. Lee Ann was a devoted and proud mother to their two sons, Brandon and Trey, and she treasured every stage of their lives. Watching them grow into the men they are today brought her immense joy and pride.
Lee Ann devoted many years to caring for her family as a homemaker. She was also a gifted and creative entrepreneur, running a small craft business where she sold handmade items. In 1998, she fulfilled a dream by opening a scrapbook store in Austin with her sister. Lee Ann had a deep love for scrapbooking and preserving life’s memories, and she used her remarkable artistic talents to help others capture the moments that mattered most.
A truly creative spirit, Lee Ann loved arts and crafts and seemed able to draw, design, or create just about anything someone needed. She loved the ocean and found joy near the water. Her creativity was matched by her lively sense of humor, which brought laughter to many family gatherings. She was especially known for creating the most memorable gifts at the family’s annual white elephant parties.
Lee Ann adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. She took them on trips, showered them with thoughtful gifts, and captured hundreds of special memories in photographs. Her love for them was boundless, and she delighted in watching them grow, laugh, and experience life’s joys.
Lee Ann also had a deep love for animals and cared for many beloved pets over the years, including chickens and ducks. Most of all, Lee Ann loved Jesus and lived her life with a deep and abiding faith.
She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Elmer Smith; her sons, Brandon Smith (Ashley) and Trey Smith (Lauren); and her four cherished grandchildren, Grayson, Trevor, Evelyn, and Oliver Smith. She is also survived by her mother, Patricia Lund; her sisters, Paula Rudisill (Billy) and Sharon Strasser; her brother, Jim Tyra (Pam); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
To her family, Lee Ann was not only a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, but also a treasured sister and friend. She shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, creativity, and love with those closest to her. Her kindness, encouragement, and gentle spirit left a lasting imprint on the hearts of her family, and the memories they created together will always be cherished.
Lee Ann will be remembered for her creativity, her love for family and animals, and the joy she brought to those around her. She especially loved the ocean, where the beauty and peace of the water brought her happiness and reflection. Her legacy lives on in the many memories she lovingly helped preserve and in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
