On Sunday, July 10, 2022, Patricia Schrader of Austin, TX passed away peacefully at home. She was trained as a teacher, but her real career path was to be our loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Patricia’s greatest joy was spending time with her five grandchildren and entertaining her family as she segued from one holiday to the next, exchanging interior and exterior décor. She endured her Vermont existence and was rewarded tenfold with her beloved Texas.
Patricia was born October 30th,1952 to Joseph and Dorothy (Ferris) Gilbert. On June 15th,1974 she married David Schrader. They raised two sons, Michael and Brian, and a daughter, Kristin.
Patricia was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith. When she wasn’t lighting candles at church, she was shopping for gifts she generously gave to others. Patricia loved running around town, and she had the best driving shortcuts. When she got a green light or a great parking space, she would always say” It pays to go to Church.”
Patricia was preceded in death by her father Joseph, and mother Dorothy. She is survived by her husband David, her three children, Michael, Kristin, and Brian and their spouses Sarah, Frazier, and Kristin.
She is also survived by five adoring grandchildren Samantha, Lilly, Adalyn, Grayson, and Violet and her siblings Joann, Jackie, Terri, Tommy, Billy, David and Marybeth and many nieces and nephews.
She realized her lifelong wishes of a Jaguar and beautiful garden pool. She always wanted to win the lottery, although she never hit it big, the ticket to Heaven is a darn good alternative.
