Raymundo Soto Jimenez was born November 10, 1951 in Durango, Mexico, to Gonzalo Soto Jara and Maria Teresa Jimenez. He passed from this life August 31, 2021 in Liberty Hill, Texas. Raymundo had lived in this area since 2000, moving here from Mexico. He enjoyed watching soccer games and getting everyone together for cookouts. When he was younger he enjoyed playing basketball, soccer and other team sports. He enjoyed listening to and collecting music. Among his favorites were The Beatles, Crosby, Stills & Nash and The Doors. Raymundo worked for many years as a Train Conductor and was also a chef at Chick-fil-A.
He is survived by his beloved wife Amelia; his children, Daniel Alberto Soto, Sandra Cecilia Soto, Abigail Soto, Noe Raymundo Soto Ortiz, Claudia Teresa Soto Ortiz, Ivan Nezahualcoyotl Soto Ortiz, Erika Berenice Soto Ortiz and Luis Armando Soto; grandchildren, Sofia Soto Gonzalez, Mia Soto Gonzalez, Lissandra Ayleen Ruiz Soto, Van Lionel Escobedo Soto, Leia Fernanda Escobedo Soto, Ivan Alejandro Soto Cardenas and Noe Calem Soto Cardenas; Brothers, Armando Soto Jimenez and Gonzalo Soto Jimenez; sisters, Yolanda Soto Jimenez and Irma Soto Jimenez and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 1200 S. Bagdad Road, Leander, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Las Tres Marias Cemetery in Liberty Hill.
