Rick transferred to Texas while working for IBM in 1990 and made Texas his home. After retiring from IBM, he started his own air conditioning and appliance repair business which led him to Burlington Ventures and fully retired in 2007.
Rick lived his life on his own terms, which included joining the Navy at 17 years old and proudly serving his country. He enjoyed many deep sea fishing trips with his sons and friends. He accomplished one of his bucket list items while on a trip to Riviera Maya by catching a 7 ft. sailfish, which he proudly displayed in his home.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Anna (Riordan) Bogdon, his sister, Alberta (Bogdon Pokrifka) Scotto, and his son, Brian A. Bogdon.
He is survived by the love of his life of 35 years, Robin Bogdon; his son, Randy L. Bogdon (Josi) and grandson Tyce Bogdon, Austin, TX; his daughter-in-law, Sherry Bogdon (Brian), Hamilton, MT, and grandsons Brandon Cooper (Malory), Hamilton, MT, and Ryan Bogdon, Calabasas, CA along with his niece, Michelle Pratt (Ben) and nephew, Lance Pokrifa (Chrissy) York, PA.
