Thomas was born in Houston, Texas on October 19, 1965 to loving parents, Francis Delores “Dee” (McNeil) Money and Tullis James “Jim” Money. He passed away peacefully on December 9, 2021 surrounded by those he loved most, his family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and the many he lent a helping hand.
Thomas was always a dreamer and enjoyed true, honest, hard work. Before the age of 10 he began collecting bottles and cans off the streets in Jacinto City, Texas to sell. He held multiple other odd jobs as he grew up but his entrepreneurial spirit never faded. At 22 he sold university memorabilia across the southeast out of the trunk of his car. At 29, Thomas left his secure job at UPS in Florida to chase his dreams in Austin of starting a landscaping business, Geoscapes of Texas, with his wife, Kelly Money. Geoscapes has landscaped thousands of yards across central Texas and has won several awards. At the end of a long day of work Thomas would study the stock market and determine the following day's trades.
Thomas’s passions outside of working on his dreams included time at the beach, fishing, hunting, reading and the occasional trip to the casino. Thomas was a natural born storyteller and would often entertain friends and family with elaborate stories over a nice meal. Which usually consisted of Gulf oysters and gumbo. If he wasn’t telling stories he would be speaking about his family who he loved more than anything. Last, but certainly not least, Thomas was a man of faith and always held the word of God above all else.
Thomas is preceded in death by his Father. He is survived by his Mother, his wife, their children, Thomas Money and Kylie Money and husband, Chris Bludau. His oldest brother, David and his wife Linda Money and his brother Mike Money.
