After relocating to Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Ann chose to serve her country in the United States Army and it is there that she met the love of her life, Robert Hill. They were married on April 24, 1976. Together they would be blessed by their daughter, Jessica Hill, who would in turn, eventually bless them with a granddaughter, Julianna Hill.
After honorably discharging from the Army, Ann would continue to serve as a licensed practical nurse for the VA Hospital for over 30 years. She was a life-long member of the VFW Lebanon Post Ladies Auxiliary club and was active within the Sacred Heart Church of Jesus in Cornwall. Throughout her life, Ann put 100 percent in everything she did, whether it was as a wife, mother, nurse or friend. She was tenacious and organized, but also incredibly selfless and generous. Ann adored her family and doted on her granddaughter. She was a patient listener and known for her big heart. She was the “grandmother you would wish for”.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Robert; daughter, Jessica Hill; granddaughter, Julianna Hill; her sisters, Ute Czetli, Denise Thompson, Regina Begley and Dottie Lou Semenck; and stepmother, Dorothy Begley. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Wright.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10 am. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the VA Medical Center, Lebanon PA, Hospice Fund #8183, www.cdceportal.va.gov/donate_online/
