

Betty L. Pyles, 83, Lebanon died Monday Octobner 29, 2012 in Cedar Haven. She was the wife of the late George G. Pyles, Sr. She was born in Lebanon on August 16, 1929 a daughter of the late Martin and Bertha Mase Habecker. She was a dedicated homemaker who cared for her family and had also driven a school bus for the Cornwall-Lebanon School District for many years. In 1982 George and Betty moved to Port Orange, FL where they resided until May of 2011 when they relocated to Millsboro, DE. In August of 2011 they returned to Lebanon for good when Betty took up residence at Cedar Haven. She resided there on the fourth floor where she received tender and loving care until her last day. Betty is survived by sons: George, Jr., Jeffry and wife Linda, Craig and wife Karlene, daughter-in-law: Sharon Pyles, all of Lebanon; grandchildren: Lori Beachell, Malissa wife of Chip Conrad, Jesse Pyles, Rebecca wife of Devon Snyder, Laura Pyles, Dana wife of Brian Lambert; step-daughters: Melissa Miller and Chelsea Yocum; 9 great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren; siblings: Georgia Matthews, FL; Judith wife of Donald Hain, Lebanon; Sharon Rauch, Palmyra; Sheila wife of Richard Gearhart, MD; Claudia wife of Robert Batz, Lebanon; Veronica wife of Chester Gordon, Lebanon; Martin Habecker, GA; Dennis Habecker, Lebanon; Carl Brady, Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons: Scott A. Pyles, Thomas L. Pyles; grandson: Corey Pyles; brothers: Clair Habecker and Alfred Habecker; sister: Kay Whitman. Funeral services will be Friday at 9:00 A.M. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042 where a viewing will begin at 8:00 A.M. Interment will be made in the National Cemetery at Ft. Indiantown Gap.
