Jr. Charles P. Kern

Charles Paul Kern, Jr., 77, Lebanon, passed away on Sunday December 21, 2014 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of the late Linda A. Redinger Kern who passed away on September 14, 2005. He was born in Jonestown on August 26, 1937 a son of the late Charles P. and Laura Baum Kern. He was retired from Raybestos-Manhattan with 40 years of service. He was a 1956 graduate of Lebanon High School and he enjoyed visiting his brother Ron and his family every Sunday as well as going to Heisey’s Diner for breakfast every morning. His biggest joy was spending time with his granddaughters who were the loves of his life. He is survived by son: Charles P. Kern, III and wife Tara, Lebanon; daughter: Kimberly A. wife of Jeffrey Barlieb, Fredericksburg; granddaughters: Haille A. Kern and Lindan A. Barlieb; brothers: Ronald and wife Deb Kern, Annville; Larry Kern, Dalmatia and Harry Kern, Lebanon; sister: Faye wife of Fred Donmoyer, Grantville; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in the Covenant Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
