Flora R. Carpenter

Flora R. Carpenter, 83, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 in Hershey Medical Center. She was born in Union Deposit, PA on August 23, 1933, a daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Crawford Ruhl. She was a retired employee of Reese’s Candy in Hershey working for 26 years and also worked for Just Like Family Health Care for 13 years. She was a member the River of Life Church of God of Lebanon where the Lord became part of her life and also attended St. Jacob’s Kimmerling’s Church of Lebanon. Flora volunteered with Hospice for 6 years, Good Samaritan Hospital, the Red Cross and was a member of Christian Women AGLOW. She enjoyed bingo, trips to Atlantic City and watching Judge Judy on television. She is survived by children, Kathryn Showers and Mason Blouch, Jr. both of Lebanon; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; sister, Sylvania Grandi and husband Peter of Lebanon and her beloved cat, Rocky. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Reddinger. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11 AM in River of Life Church of God, 825 N. 7th St., Lebanon, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Rohland Funeral Home, Inc. of Lebanon is handling her arrangements.
