

.Frederick C. Louder, 90, of York formerly of Mt. Gretna, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Normandie Ridge Nursing Home, York. He was the husband of the late Eunice J. Gorsuch Louder who passed away in 1991. He was born in Altoona, PA on July 26, 1920, son of the late Nevitt and Merle Laughlin Louder. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII. He was wounded during the combat in Normandy, France where he received the Purple Heart. Mr. Louder was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Corp. from 1947-1982 as a mechanical engineer where he was the Asst. Superintendent in the Power & Maintenance Dept. for many years. He was a former member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Mt. Olivet Lodge #704 F & AM, Experimental Aircraft Assoc. and the Distelfink Aero Club. He enjoyed flying having obtained his private pilot license. He was a member the Cornwall U.M.C. where he was the former treasurer and served on various other committees. He is survived by his children: Frederick C. Louder Jr. and his wife Linda, CA; Sherry wife of Frank Kraft, York; Carolyn M. Pennabecker, York; 10 grandchildren ; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: William and Joseph Louder. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Cornwall U.M.C., Rt. 419, Cornwall where a viewing will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to Cornwall U.M.C., PO Box 687, Cornwall, PA 17016. The Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon is handling the arrangements.
