

Frederick C. Lucas, 78, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 in his home. He was predeceased by his parents and youngest brother, Thomas S. Lucas. He is survived by his loving partner, Paula Lehman, Camp Hill; sons, Fred S., Williamstown, PA; John W. and spouse Lisa, Barto, PA; F. Nicholas and partner, Clint, Quakertown, PA; Steven and spouse Christina, Monterey, CA; three grandsons; siblings, twin brother, James E. and spouse, Connie, Bethel, PA; brother, Robert L., Boston, MA; sisters, Sandra Young and spouse, Kenneth, Lebanon; Faye Hess, Lebanon; Rose, Lebanon; Beverly Boger, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Fred’s greatest passion was golf and he had played the prestigious Pebble Beach, CA course several times with son Steven and wife Christina and brothers, Jim and Bob. He and Paula loved all animals and had rescued their beloved dogs, ‘Becky’ and ‘Goldie’ giving them their ‘forever home’ from the Humane Society Shelter. He had resided in Sheridan, Wyoming from 1977 until 1981 where he and brother, Jim enjoyed owning and riding their horses on numerous camping treks into the Big Horn Mountains. After graduated from Lebanon High School, class of 1956, Fred served 4 years in the US Navy where he graduated from the Navy Hospital Corps School, and the Navy Neuropsychiatric Technician School. He attained the rank of Hospitalman 3rd Class. After his military service he served on the Lititz Borough Police Department, Lancaster Police Department and later the Capitol Police Force in Harrisburg, PA. While with the Lititz Police, he graduated from the PA State Police Academy’s course for Municipal Police. Fred was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Fairview, PA. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11 AM in Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA with a viewing beginning on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will be made in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, PA on Wednesday, September 7th at 1 PM.
