
George W. Wagner, Sr., 81, Lebanon, died Saturday June 11, 2011 in his residence. He was the husband of Doris F. nee Sherk Wagner and the late Elsie M. nee Heady Wagner. He was born in Lebanon on June 2, 1930 a son of the late Charles and Katherine Paine Wagner. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U. S. Navy. He was employed for many years by the Lebanon Steel Foundry. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and was an avid train collector and member of Toy Train Collectors. He was a member of the Rescue Hose Co. #4. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and travelling. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons: George W. Wagner, Jr., Lebanon; Raymond Wagner, Lebanon; Charles P. Wagner, Columbus, GA; Brian K. Wagner, Lebanon; 13 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; 1 great great- granddaughter; brother: Robert Wagner, Lebanon; nieces and nephews; step-sons: Ralph P. Dengler, Lebanon; Michael D. Dengler, Lebanon. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Interment will be made in the Covenant Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. and Thursday from 10:00 A.M. to the time of service in the funeral home.
