Helen A. Stone

Helen A. Stone, 92, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at home. She was born on October 28, 1924 in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Walter and Edna Gassert Shirk. Helen was the wife of the late Charles E. Stone Sr. who passed away January 12, 2010. Mrs. Stone was a retired nurse for Cornwall Manor after 16 years of service. She enjoyed Cooking, Baking, Gardening and the Delaware Sea Shore. She was a Life Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving are her children: Robert A. Stone of Thornhurst, PA; Gary L. husband of Laura Stone, Branchburg, N.J; Charles R. Young Jr. of Lebanon; Eleanor Young of Lebanon; Cathy, wife of Dennis Michael, Lebanon; Dennis, husband of Linda Young, Lebanon; grandsons: Jeremy Lee, husband of Sasha Stone, Jonestown; Tyler Lee Stone of Branchburg, N.J; great grandson: Hunter Lee Stone of Jonestown; brother: James Shirk of Bunker Hill; sister: Lucille Peiffer of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her son: Charles E. Stone Jr; brothers: Raymond and David Shirk; sisters: Grace Daubert; Catherine Young; Martha Wentling; Florence Honafius and Eleanor Clark. A funeral service will be held in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman St, Lebanon, PA, 17046 on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00AM with a viewing from 10:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Contributions may be made in Helen’s memory to her church.
