Joan “Toodles” Evelyn Eck Derr, 77, of Jonestown, PA, died Monday, January 5, 2015 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Earl H. Derr who died in 2005. She was born in Lebanon, PA on October 17, 1937, a daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn Seasholtz Eck. Joan was formerly employed as a waitress and cook. Her main focus was her family, birds and reading books. She is survived by children, Joseph husband of Susan Derr and their daughter Samantha; Kevin husband of Brenda Derr and their children Jay and Angela and granddaughter, Cassie-Anne; Sheri Lynn wife of Ricky Cutshall and their children Ricky II and Mathew; six brothers and one sister. She is preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 855 Tuck St., Suite 2, Lebanon, PA 17042. At her request, services will be held privately. Rohland Funeral Home, Inc. of Lebanon, PA is handling her arrangements.
