

Marylou Sando, 82, of Lebanon died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of L. Gordon Sando of whom she was married to for 62 years. She was born in Mt. Zion (Bethel Twp) on July 6, 1927, daughter of the late Paul and Sarah Ream Groft. Marylou formerly worked for Smith Candies in the former Lebanon Market on 9th St. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon and the Ladies Aux. of the Lebanon Fireman’s Assoc. She formerly was a Cub Scout den mother at Bethany U.M.C., and a band parent at L.H.S. She loved to travel New England visiting lighthouses and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons: Bartley Sando, Lebanon; John Sando and wife Norma, Lickdale; Michael Sando and wife Paula, Tiverton, RI; daughters: Dawna and husband Harry Stauffer, Lebanon; Deborah and husband Robert Eckert, Lebanon; Carla Shaw, Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: James and Ronald Groft; sisters: Patricia Souillard and Beatrice Evans. She was preceded in death by her step-son Robert Sando. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman St., Lebanon where a visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M.
