Michael L Kessler

Michael L. Kessler died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield MO. He was born in Lebanon on April 11, 1950, the son of the late Doris Mehler Kessler and Donald Kirkwood. He was predeceased by his sister Donette Kessler McBride. Mike was a 1968 graduate of Cedar Crest High School. Mike worked for Fulton Bank for many years. He was an active member of the South Lebanon Jaycees and held offices in local, regional and also state level. He was a JCI Senator. He was a member of the American Volkssport Association. Mike enjoyed hunting with his dad at their cabin in Potter County, along with relatives and friends who joined them. Mike decided to move to Thayer, MO. To be with Donette and their dad. In Missouri, Mike worked at Ryan’s Steakhouse and as part of a traveling team that trained employees for new restaurants. He came home last year for our family reunion and he was able to spend time with relatives and his friend Jennie Fick. Also went to a Phillies game with her, which he also enjoyed. Mike is survived by cousins and friends in Pennsylvania as well as friends in Missouri, also by his furry companion Snoopy. Mike’s final wishes were that Snoopy would have a good home and that his and Donettes cremains be buried here with their mom and dad. A Special “Thank You” to a good friend of his and Donette’s, Clemmie Aaron, who found a good home for Snoopy. She also handled all of Mikes personal effects in Thayer, which was greatly appreciated. A memorial service will be held in Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA, 17042 on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:00AM with a visitation from 9:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
