

Pauline Worrilow Ehrgood (Polly Ann) died peacefully at the age of 90 on May 24, 2015 in Manor Care, Lebanon, PA. She was the wife of the late A. Harry Ehrgood, Jr. who died in 1981. She was born in Lebanon, PA on August 20, 1924, a daughter of the late William H. and Pauline Light Worrilow. She attended the Tenacre School, Wellesley, MA and was a graduate of the Westover School, Middlebury Connecticut, Pine Manor College, Chestnut Hill, MA and a 1946 graduate of Smith College, Northampton, MA. She worked for Dean Witter Reynolds, Harrisburg, PA and in 1968 built the first automatic self-wash Ultra Spray Carwash in Lebanon County.
She was interested in and involved in various organizations in her community including leading a Brownie Troop and serving on the board of directors of the Lebanon County Council of Girls Scouts. She served on the board of Talbot Hall and in 1948 began a long tenure of serving on the board of directors of the Lebanon Family and Children’s Service. In 1962 she became associated with the board of directors of the Widow’s Home in Lebanon, PA and remained an honorary member of the Oakview Board. She also was a lifetime member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary and served as general chairman of the GSH Street Fair in 1969. She had been a member of the Lebanon Country Club and enjoyed her days of playing golf on the ladies golf team when she was first married in 1946.
Polly Ann is survived by her three children, Allen Henry Ehrgood, Jr, William W. Ehrgood and wife Susan, Mt. Gretna, daughter Pauline A. (Perry) and husband Robert Latshaw, Lebanon, grandchildren Kit Ehrgood, Megan Williams, Amanda Reitmeier, William Ehrgood, Perry Ehrgood, John Ehrgood, Sarah Hodrick, Emily Latshaw and Beth Latshaw; ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother John L. Worrilow and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Emy Lou Gaul and her brother William H. Worrilow, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM in the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 600 S. 12th Street, Lebanon, PA, on Saturday, August 1st, 2015. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Rohland Funeral Home is assisting her family with arrangements.
