

Robert Edward Boyer, Jr., 53, Palmyra, passed away on Monday March 16, 2015 in the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Karen J. Bound Boyer with whom he would have celebrated a 17th wedding anniversary in May. He was born in Schuylkill Haven on May 4, 1961 a son of Robert E., Sr. and Ann L. “Fuzz” Schumacker Boyer. He was employed as the maintenance supervisor of French Creek State Park. Bob enjoyed camping; riding his Harley; cooking on the grill… especially his chicken wings; being in French Creek State Park; listening to country music and particularly Luke Bryan. He loved watching sports and rooted for the Steelers, Phillies and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. as well as watched hockey games and was a huge baseball and Mike Schmidt fan. Anyone who knew Bob also knew how much he loved his truck. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by a son: Trent Boyer; step-son Chris Eckert; 3 step-grandchildren; brother: Robert Barry Boyer; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00 P.M. in Living Waters Chapel, 1900 Jay St., Lebanon, PA 17046 where a viewing will be held beginning at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Eastern PA Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 2405 Park Dr., Ste 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110. The Rohland Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
