Thomas “Tommy” L. Martin, Jr., 55, while surrounded by his wife and children passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Born in Lebanon on December 16, 1969, to Janet K. McDaniels and the late Thomas L. Martin, Sr., Tommy grew up and spent most of his years in Lebanon county alongside his sisters Nicole (Tony) Basselgia and Melissa (Bill) Schott. He attended and graduated from Lebanon Christian Academy before starting his long-time career as a construction supervisor at Tri-Valley Contractors for twenty years and then most recently as a general carpenter at Forino Developers for ten years.
After eight long years of dating his high school sweetheart, Tommy finally married the love of his life Jennifer M. (Reilly) Martin on June 10, 1995, and together would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year. Tommy and Jenny were abundantly blessed beyond all measure and went on to create the most beautiful family. Their four children Devin T., Brayden R., Mallory J., and Ethan C. deeply loved their dad and miss him with all their hearts.
In his younger years, Tommy was very athletic and loved playing sports, especially basketball. But, what he most enjoyed, was sitting on the bleachers watching and cheering on his kids playing the sports they loved. Also, at any given time (usually when Jen wanted something done around the house) Tommy could be seen riding his zero-turn lawn mower proudly around his property making sure the stripes on his lawn were straight and pristine. Tommy also enjoyed reading and studying his Bible and watching a few youtube videos on the side.
No one ever met Tommy that didn’t love him! He was the best husband and dad who tirelessly worked long hours providing for his growing family, even framing his own house. He was the nicest person and gentlest soul who never said an unkind word about anyone. Unfortunately, the last few years had not been good to Tommy and his health suffered greatly, yet his faith and sweet spirit never wavered. Tommy magnified Jesus! He exemplified the true meaning of being Christ-like and would want more than ever for all his family and friends to know Jesus personally as he did and spend all eternity together in heaven.
When physically able, Tommy attended Faith Baptist Church as well as Calvary Chapel in Lebanon. In addition to his immediate family, Tommy is survived by his father and mother-in- law, Chuck and Judy Reilly of Lebanon; and his sister and brother-in-law, Janell (Reilly) and Randall Martin; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his beloved dogs and sofa sidekicks Kobe and Ivy Rose.
A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held for Tommy on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:30 am at Faith Baptist Church 220 S 22nd St, Lebanon, Pa 17042.
