Walter was a faithful member of the Fairland Brethren in Christ Church and an Army veteran. He worked as an auto mechanic for Risser’s Auto Sales in Palmyra and was the quintessential Mechanic’s Mechanic, often fielding questions for his peers. It was known that if Walter couldn’t fix the issue, it was time to buy new. He loved to use his skills to save others money; often working his day job at the garage and then coming home to continue working on a friend or neighbor’s car. He also loved to sing and had an innate talent for music, learning to play songs on the banjo and harmonica by ear alone. In his down time, Walter enjoyed bowling with his wife, Betty and playing all manner of card, dice and board games. He adored his family and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his sons, Walter “Bud” (Gale) Keller Jr. and Kevin (Stacy) Keller; daughters, Diane Lane, Cindy (Dwayne) Kline and Wendy (Bret) Kaylor; a brother, David Keller; grandchildren, Phillip Kaylor, Ashlee Lane, Aaron Kaylor, Janelle Keller, Adam Kaylor, Connor Keller and Nathaniel Keller; great grandchildren, Micah Kaylor, Liam Kaylor, Weston Keller, Lane Keller-Drukenmiller, Margaret Kaylor, Evelyn Kaylor, Harper Kaylor and one great grandbaby on the way.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth “Betty” nee Adamson; brothers, Marvin, Arthur, Earl, Homer, Robert, Wilbur and Stanley Keller; and sisters Thelma Walter and Shirley Ickes
