B.M.C.S. William John Elliott

B.M.C.S. William John Elliott, 75, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 in Harrisburg Hospital. He was born on January 6th, 1941 in Lebanon, a son of the late William B. and Isabelle Aulenbach Elliott. William was the husband of the late Ruth Ann Haldman Elliott who passed away July 7th, 1996. Mr. Elliott was a retired E.O.D. U.S. Navy Diver. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on 8 October 1958 and BMCS Elliott completed his career at NAVSCOLEOD, Indian Head, Maryland from 14 November 1980 to his retirement date of 1 August 1988. He was promoted to his present rate of BMCS on 1 July 1983. He was a member of Friendship Fire Company; Navy Club of Lebanon Ship 91 and VFW Post 23 of Lebanon Life time member. Surviving are his children: Scott David, husband of Sherry Elliott, Palmyra; Kathy Jo, wife of Frank Richey, Lebanon; Stephanie, wife of Robert Houser, Lebanon and Patrick Michael, husband of Tonya Elliott, Lebanon; Grandchildren: Rebecca; Ashley; Brooke; Katie; Austin; Garrett; great grandchildren: Raynah and Hope Rebecca; brothers and sister: Richard Joseph Elliott of AZ; Mary Wilson of Lebanon and Thomas Sr., husband of Susie Elliott, Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by his daughter, Lori Ann Elliott. A funeral service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA., 17042 on Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 at 10:00AM with a viewing from 9:00AM until the time of the service. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM in the funeral home. Interment with Full Military Honors will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at 11:30AM, Wednesday.
