It is with deep sorrow, much love and extremely heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Arlene Quiambao Daure. She was surrounded by her family when she passed away on February 17, 2022 at the age of sixty seven at her home in Devon, Alberta.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of thirty five years Philippe and her identical twin daughters, Kacey and Nathalie (Jaime); as well as many relatives and friends.
Arlene was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arellano University. She travelled and worked in Hong Kong and eventually landed in Vancouver, Canada where she met her husband. Arlene and Philippe got married in France and shortly after were blessed with Kacey and Nathalie.
Arlene was a bright, funny and jolly individual. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and telling the birdies to stop eating her strawberries. She travelled the world but was particularly fond of picnics and drives on the country roads. She was completely devoted to her family and always told us to warn her when we were coming over so she would have enough time to cook our favourite foods. Arlene loved to laugh and the simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy, she will be missed so much.
A viewing will be held between 12-5 P.M. on February 22, 2022 at Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel- 4802-47 Avenue Leduc, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Arlene Daure to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 1Z2 780-432-8500, albertacancer.ca/in-memory or, directly to the family via e-transfer to [email protected]
